Mumbai Consulate did not interview husband and myself. An Indian gentleman called us to the counter and told us that the VO had approved our H1B renewals and that we would receive the PP by courier the following day.

Received CPO mail today for self, wife but then after 30 mins the status changed to 'deceison' .
Does this mean I am greened?

I am in EB3 and I have no intention to port my PD to EB2.I strongly believe we are in the last fag of the problem.
Why do you want to spoil others chances?- Are you scared or what?
This shows another example why we are not united.
If DOL had only cleared those poor old needed filers without opening a backlog ,EB3 woudn't have become a laughing stock by you fellows.There was not much big difference between EB2 and EB3 earlier years before.
That was the reason most of us agreed when we filed under EB3.
If they hadnt wasted the visas -EB3 and EB2 should have diff of 2 years only.
Thats the reason why EB3 is mad now.
Whatever - People supporting this cause are mere selfish.
If the EB3 guy wants to port to EB2 whats yr problem -
Already EB2 is flooded with applications -Most of them know what is happening and people want only EB2 status.Thankfully there are real IV members who are against this.
There are more exerienced and qualified EB3 people than me too.Dont spoil others future.
Lol! down this act and get rid of the attitude.There is no success in such selfish decisions.
Like how you need GC everyone needs GC to stay in this country.

Pls feel free to change the text of the letter and personalize it if you wish. If you wish to include your story and attach a photo copy of your degrees, patents, awards, please do so. Just make sure to include the provisions we are trying to push.
If you are handwriting the letter, your writing should be legible.. If nobody can read your writing, then it will defeat the purpose. Write the letter in such a way that the key points are easy to read. If you would like to use rules, bold text, highlighters etc... go ahead and do it.

Not been a close tracker all these years, but it all changed at the beginning of October ;)
But, both my wife and I received CPO e-mails this morning. No welcome e-mails.

Case status showed up as in the "initial review" stage till this morning when the status changed to "Document Production or Oath Ceremony"
But, both my wife and I received CPO e-mails this morning. No welcome e-mails.

First of all the progress of this thread so depressing.
Finished calling all in the list. Generally the response from Dems was better, I felt good after talking in Dem's offices.
Similarly general response from Repub's was short (even curt), not very enthusiastic.

I have a copy of my approved I-140, and the only number I see on it is Receipt Number at the top left side of the notice. It reads like LIN-xx-xxx-xxxxx.
Is this the A# number you are referring to?
That is your receipt number. In my case, the A# is in the box that has the name of the beneficiary.

Seems like there might be an internal memo or understanding between USCIS and DOS not to approve many Eb2 India 485 even though there dates are current, this is the only explanation I can come up for the lack for eb2 india approvals in October. Even with the limited number of visas every quarter I was hoping there would be lot of approvals because of Visa spillover occuring every quarter instead of once every year, but looking at the USCIS performance in the first week of october it seems like there wont be any quarterly spillover at all.

India has less 500 cases in April 2001 yet its PD is Apr 15 2001

Priority Date: 28th March 2006
Interviewed last September (2009), when I was told that my case is approved and waiting for visa number.
Second fingerprint on September 20th 2010
Lawyer was told that my case is being "held" since there was no visa number available after my 2nd fingerprint cleared, so I wasn't expecting anything until Oct 1st, so was obviously pleasantly surprised.
